Seals Parent Volunteers play an integral role in the success of our swim season. Each family is required to volunteer for at least 3 meets. Some of the volunteer positions will require work during the meets and some outside of the meets. Volunteer positions needed include: age group parents, ready bench, runners, stroke and turn judges, ribbons/medals, and party/events helpers. Some of these positions may require training. If you have any questions about volunteering, please contact the Volunteer Co-ordinator.

Parent Volunteer Positions

Main Parent Volunteer Positions

  1. Age Group Parents: Help with the kids in each of the age groups to make sure the swimmers are marked and get to the ready bench in time for their events. You need to make sure you or one of your fellow age group parents in that age group remain with the swimmers until all swimmers are done with their events. And, please make sure the swimmers clean up all trash and snacks before they leave!

  2. Ready Bench: Calls swimmers to the ready bench area. For kids 10 and <, assists in getting the children into the right lane on the right side of the pool (*this is especially important with the younger children and relay events). Lots of patience and organization.
